At 3D Energy, we completed a cooling installation expansion project for a facility adding a new production line requiring additional cooling capacity. Our process began with a detailed Scan to BIM of the existing conditions. Using panoramic images and point cloud data, we captured the current state of the facility with an accuracy of approximately 2mm, modeling critical components such as:
• Existing cooling system infrastructure
• Piping layouts
• Equipment placements
• Building structure and utilities
Based on this precise data, we designed the integration of a second chiller to meet the increased cooling demands of the new production line. Our design ensured seamless compatibility with the existing system, optimizing performance and energy efficiency.
Deliverables included detailed plans in PDF, DWG, RVT, and IFC formats, providing a comprehensive resource for contractors and engineers to execute the expansion without discrepancies.
This project highlights our commitment to precision and efficiency, ensuring that upgrades to critical systems like cooling installations are reliable, cost-effective, and future-ready.
