At 3D ENERGY, we conducted a detailed energy audit for a facility housing approximately 350 occupants year-round. The building also supports a kitchen that prepares three daily meals for residents and an additional 500 meals for individuals in need across the city.
Our analysis uncovered several opportunities to enhance the facility’s energy efficiency and reduce operating costs:
Improved Insulation and Windows: Calculated and proposed new layers of insulation and high-efficiency window replacements to reduce heat loss and enhance thermal comfort.
Air-to-Water Heat Pumps: Designed a system incorporating 300 kW air-to-water heat pumps to significantly lower gas consumption, particularly for domestic hot water needs.
Solar PV Installation: Assessed and recommended the installation of a 50 kWp photovoltaic system on the roof, enabling the facility to generate renewable electricity and further reduce energy expenses.
Our comprehensive approach ensures a significant reduction in energy usage, environmental impact, and operating costs, helping the facility achieve a more sustainable future while maintaining its critical services.
